Past month, D&B Tailors celebrated its 50th anniversary of being in business with a big bang! As you can imagine, our Master Designer Gabe D’Annunzio arrived to the Filitalia Delco event in style, and so did his guests – dear friends and longtime customers of his bespoke tailoring business.
Today we’d like to share some highlights of this wonderful event that was organized not only to celebrate D&B Tailors success, but also to contribute to a great cause close to Gabe’s heart – supporting the Italian Immigration Museum.
The Filitalia Delco Event took place on September 25 at the beautiful Overbook Golf Club in Villanova, Pennsylvania.
There were about 100 wonderful guests celebrating with D&B Tailors that night.
Among the auction items guests could find: autographed basketballs and a book from 1985 championship signed by Rollie Mastimino, 2016 Jay Wright’s autographed basketball and various tickets to the 2016-17 Villanova Season, custom shirts, vacation trips and many more.
Over $30,000 raised that night benefited the Italian Immigration Museum. Among the most wanted items were: the custom suit (made by our Master Designer Gabe) worth $4,000 – sold for $9,000 and 2 custom shirts worth $500 each – auctioned for $4 thousand.
Billy Olsen, one of D&B Tailors’ longtime customers, gave an heartwarming speech (and a so-called roast) about his relationship with Gabe and a love for what he does with clothing.
Altogether it was a wonderful night and an honor to be celebrating with such great people who continue to support D&B Tailors! Always in style! We couldn’t be more grateful.
Here’s to 50 more years!
